Upper Mustang Tour

Imagine a journey to a land where time seems to stand still, where ancient traditions and stunning landscapes coexist in perfect harmony. With Corporate Travel Nepal's Upper Mustang Tour, you can experience the awe-inspiring beauty and cultural heritage of one of Nepal's most intriguing regions—Upper Mustang, often called the "Forbidden Kingdom."

Upper Mustang is a remote and mystical region in northwestern Nepal, just beyond the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. For centuries, it was a restricted area, closed to the outside world. Today, it's open to a limited number of visitors, offering a unique opportunity to explore a place rich in history, culture, and dramatic scenery.

The heart of Upper Mustang is the ancient Kingdom of Lo, with its capital, Lo Manthang. As you journey through this region, you'll be transported to a bygone era. Explore the walled city of Lo Manthang, with its narrow streets, ancient monasteries, and traditional whitewashed buildings. Visit the Royal Palace, where the King of Mustang once resided, and delve into the history and traditions that make this place so unique.

The landscapes of Upper Mustang are nothing short of spectacular. You'll traverse arid valleys, wind-sculpted cliffs, and vast plateaus, with the snow-capped Himalayas serving as a breathtaking backdrop. Along the way, you'll discover ancient cave complexes, some used as meditation retreats by Buddhist monks, others adorned with centuries-old frescoes and artifacts.

Upper Mustang has a strong Tibetan influence, and you'll have the opportunity to experience this unique culture firsthand. Visit traditional villages where locals still practice Tibetan Buddhism and engage in daily rituals. Witness prayer ceremonies in ancient monasteries, learn about traditional handicrafts, and enjoy the warm hospitality of the Mustang people.
